Like most 21st century love stories, Hunter and Sarah met the old-fashioned way – via Hinge. Hunter and Sarah instantly hit it off in the app. They were texting each other within days. On February 10, 2021, they finally met for margaritas and Tex-Mex at El Tiempo. Both came away from the date knowing that they had gone on a date with someone special and, perhaps, ventured on their last first date.

Despite only knowing each other for two weeks, Hunter showed his big heart by celebrating Sarah’s birthday with a home-cooked dinner, mini Bundt cakes, a classic movie, and flowers. It was perfectly low-key and thoughtful. Sarah was definitely impressed and interested in what could become of this relationship. Two months later, Sarah was being introduced at Hunter’s twin sister’s wedding as his girlfriend.

Through a combined love for traveling, being outdoors, going for long walks, and trying new restaurants, Hunter and Sarah have made countless memories, many alongside their beloved family and friends (that’s you!). They are a classic case of opposites attract.

Three years to the day from their first date, Hunter finally (in some opinions) popped the question. With the help of family, he was able to pull off quite the surprise and asked for her hand in marriage under a gazebo at a park not far from her childhood home. Sarah barely managed to say “Yes” before snatching the ring from Hunter’s hand and bawling. After their big moment, family came out of hiding to celebrate the engagement and then headed to a celebratory dinner at the same El Tiempo where Hunter and Sarah’s journey had begun three years earlier.
